Horses make great therapists. They are good for the mind and the body.

Horses Identify with people's feelings and react to their needs by responding gently and without judgment.  Horses are honest teachers about relationships and problem-solving by giving the person command and at the same time establishing healthy boundaries of control.

For those who feel trapped in circumstances beyond their control - the soft nuzzle of a horse, the triumph of mastering the ride, the simple joy and confidence of a horse's gait can restore trust and reintegrate the mind and body.

For women and children who have been physically, sexually, and/or emotionally abused, horses make great therapist. Horses offer a way to build self-esteem and reconnection both physically and emotionally.

We offer lessons to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental delays, Down's syndrome, and emotional problems. A physician's release is required. For people with physical handicaps, we recommend you contact Equest (located between Rowlett and Wylie) as we are not equipped to handle special physical needs like they are
